Founded by Katie & Stewart Shields, we are committed to helping students pursue their passion for music, performance, and fine arts. Shields Studios provides a unique and personalized method of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage creative children and adults to achieve the highest level of success.

Katie Shields began a career in teaching in 2004 with a Bachelor of Music Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. After several years in the St Tammany Parish School System as a professional music educator, she redirected her focus to private instruction. As a long time member of American Choral Director's Association, Katie has trained countless students in vocal music and choir, many having earned places in All State, Regional, and National Honor Choirs with the. ACDA.

Apart from managing Bruce Shields & Associates LLC, an independent financial advisory firm in Mandeville, Stewart Shields has a passion for the arts with his professional photography and cinematography. Shields Photography (now part of Shields Studios LLC) has been the portrait artist of choice for many, including a number of businesses, political campaigns, major events, and even the 2017 National Dance Champions, Northshore Academy of Dance in Covington, LA.
